China Visa Free Question
I am traveling from USA my flight goes from the USA to Seoul Korea. I want to visit China for just one day and stay overnight to see the Great Wall of China. I would take a flight from Seoul to Beijing the day after I arrive in Korea. Is this possible with the visa-free transit? I would need to fly back to Seoul to board a cruise ship. The cruise goes on to Japan, Taiwan and Thailand.

Yes, that’s possible. If your layover in Beijing is under 24 hours, you can obtain a 24-hour temporary entry permit to exit the airport and visit the Great Wall. If the layover exceeds 24 hours, you may qualify for the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, which allows a much longer stay in China.
