Shigatse to Sakya monastery
HI guys,
Is it possible if I go from Lhasa to Shigatese, then visiting Sakya monastery then back to Lhasa in one day. I means I get up early, leave Lhasa then back to Lhasa at ~ 7h PM.

The distance between the two places is about 300 km. A round trip by public bus would be time-consuming if you want to have a proper visit (a single journey takes about 4 hours). Renting a car makes the plan feasible: a one-day car rental from Lhasa to Shigatse and back costs around CNY 1,200, while hiring a car from Shigatse to Sakya Monastery is about CNY 600-700.
